Panhellenic Council
About
The purpose of the Panhellenic Council is to foster interfraternity relationships and to promote high scholastic and social standards. UNCW currently has 11 Panhellenic sorority organizations: Alpha Chi Omega, Alpha Delta Pi, Alpha Gamma Delta, Alpha Phi, Alpha Xi Delta, Chi Omega, Delta Gamma, Delta Zeta, Kappa Delta, Phi Mu, and Sigma Sigma Sigma.
Fall semester sorority recruitment is a mutually selective process between potential new members and the sororities we have on campus. Potential new members will get a chance to meet all the sororities throughout the week, narrowing down the organizations to the one chapter that fits them best. At the end of the recruitment events, potential new members may receive an invitation to become a member (a bid) for one of UNCW's sororities.
